Honestly, I don't know if I'd go back, but the experience was all right for what food I wanted at the time of our visit. We walked into an empty restaurant at 8pm on a Sunday night. I was a bit skeptical that the reputation this place had was accurate. The menu is so big that I felt overwhelmed, and didn't know what to choose. I finally settled on the cucumber salad and the (roughly translated) chicken noodle and spinach dish. There was a picture of it, and i was excited to try it. When the waitress arrived, I didn't get the dish I ordered. The dish I received smelled of anise and was inedible. We called the waitress over, she brought us a menu and I pointed a picture of the food I ordered. The picture of the dish I wanted and the dish i ordered were different. Why would you put a picture of a dish in a remote place on the menu and not next to the item it belongs with. VERY CONFUSING!!!!
Title: chicken and snow pea sauce change?11/27/2013 7:41:48 AM
Have loved the food since very first owners opened their doors. Tasty, not salty, fair priced, great portions, very friendly outgoing staff. Ordered for work also with positive results-quick delivery with correct orders every time. BUT my order last night wasnt the best.Ordered Chicken and Snow Peas as part of an order for takeout....but either by error or menu change..I did not expect brown sauce with the chicken was good, but I rather have the white sauce with chicken. The lighter sauce of previous orders was excellent with the chicken....Hope this was just an error and not the new norm. Have heard there are new owners? Please dont change the recipes!
Title: Filtering comments11/10/2013 5:50:49 AM
I just left a comment but it did not appear instantly which means you're filtering your comments. That would be why all of your comments are positive. I would trust you better if you only filtered the obscene and offensive comments and left in the honest bad reviews. Nobody gets 100 good reviews. Plus you've had these comments long enough to have hundreds of comments but I only see a half-dozen so those are the cream of the crop I'm guessing. Even if you don't post my last comment, I hope you take my suggestions to heart about repairing the seats, seat backs, table, and cleaning the ceiling and chandeliers as well as making sure nothing is dusty or dirty ... especially your kitchen area! That includes preventing animals from living back there like flies, cockroaches, rats, etc. I saw a fly about every 5 minutes last night at dinner and it made me wonder how clean it was.
Title: Great Food! Good Service11/10/2013 5:45:13 AM
I've been there many times and the food is always very good. It's not always the best but it's still very good. Last night everything was yummy but the peanut sauce was a little watery so not much stuck to my satay chicken. The Thai ice-tea was OK. I've had better. Our main dishes were as good as it gets! Our waiter was helpful, polite and attentive. The restaurant itself is starting to show it's age. When I sat down, the worn springs felt like a hole. The booth seat back was pushing me each time someone behind me leaned back. They also need to control the flies a bit better. Maybe I've been watching Restaurant Impossible too much but thanks to that show I notice things I never noticed before like dust, water stains in the ceiling and a dirty chandelier. If they put as much effort into maintenance and cleaning as they do to the food, this place would be A . Right now I give it a B with low grades for repairs and cleanliness. They have kept the large and centrally located fish tank sparkling clean and populated with beautiful fish.

I really like this place. the service is pretty good also. I grew up in philly and have always gone to Chinatown for Asian food and don't really like too many Asian places in the burbs, but i do like this place and when im not in philly and when i'm in the mood of Asian food i always go here!

My first time back here since joining Yelp*.New Plum Tree is a Chinese/Thai restaurant in name, but it is fundamentally Chinese American cuisine with a Thai menu thrown in for good measure. Neither are really outstanding, but both are competently prepared for the local palate. I tend toward the Thai side of the street and have tried several dishes from noodle (Pad Thai) through Curries (Like the Green Curry dishes better than the Red).Today I stopped in just after 12, which is early for me, but I was coming back from Philly, and decided to sit down rather than pick something up to eat at my office. I had a veggie plate primarily of Eggplant mixed with Green and Red Pepper, Carrots, Peas, and Basil Leaves. It had a mildly spicy brown sauce that also suggested some Ginger Root in the mélange. It was good, and felt to be a healthier alternative without meat. What can I say? It was Okay. I am not rushing back, but neither will I avoid it.My fortune: "If it seems fates are against you today, they probably are." Thanks. I already knew that!Learn Chinese:" A moment" = Yi hui er. Yes. Time waits for no one. (Especially, bad fortune cookie makers.)

Howdy! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers? I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on. Any recommendations? eckbdedfbcbbbdck
